UR certification intended

Bihl+Wiedemann already planned certification as a “UL recognized component (UR)” during development phase and developed the product in accordance with UL guidelines. Since such certification is only required for the North American market, Bihl+Wiedemann sometimes advertises and sells products before they have received UL approval. The status “UR certification intended” under “Certificates” on the product detail page indicates that Bihl+Wiedemann plans to apply for UL approval at the next opportunity. As soon as the test has been initiated by UL, the status changes to “UR certification pending”. Once testing has been completed, this product will also receive certification as “UL recognized component” (UR), and thus the release for the North American market, and will be permitted to bear the UR logo.
