Control the Lenze i550 motec easily and cost-effectively with ASi
Drive solutions from numerous manufacturers have long been easy and cost-effective to control via ASi. New to our extensive product portfolio is the ASi-5 motor module for the Lenze i550 motec frequency inverter (BWU4974). Its particularly flat design is ideal for installation in cable duct, and since it is supplied exclusively via ASi, no AUX line is required.
Cyclic writing of ramps and speeds
Another advantage of the active distributor BWU4974 is that, thanks to ASi-5, ramps and speed for process control can be changed cyclically and thus adapted extremely quickly. An optimized process data image is available for this purpose. The feedback from the motor is also very extensive with ASi-5. This is because, in addition to the error flags, the cyclic input data also includes, for example, the current consumption of the motor for evaluation.
The ASi-5 motor module BWU4974 is ideal for mounting in the cable duct. Because the module is supplied out of ASi, no AUX cable is required.

Our new motor module is complemented by the passive distributor BWU5145. The pin assignment is suitable for the STO connection (“Safe-Torque-Off”) of the Lenze i550 motec. This makes it possible to switch off the STO in the field simply and cost-effectively via the AUX line.
