Selection of Mode of Safe Operation - with a standard HMI

Complex machines nowadays must provide several modes of safe operation in many situations. For example, a system can be operated at reduced speed without monitoring certain protective devices. Bihl+Wiedemann makes it simple to implement such functionality thanks to a selection of mode of safe operation. You can do this with your available standard HMI.

5 freely configurable safe operating modes in 6 different system parts

The new TÜV-certified device allows up to 5 different operating modes to be safely selected. A system can also be additionally divided into 6 parts. A system part is first selected - then it is set to the desired independent operating mode.

An electronic key system can be used as an option

The selection of mode of safe operation can be accessed either via a safe key switch or via an electronic key system, such as Euchner EKS. The latter makes it also possible to define personalised authorization levels. ASIMON360 allows safe operating modes to be configured in a simple manner.
