ASi-5 is a joint development of several manufacturers of ASi. Jochen Bihl and Bernhard Wiedemann, who was the technical leader of the cross-company development group, explain, how the new generation of AS-Interface was created.
Bihl+Wiedemann GmbH is a technology leader in automation and safety technology with AS-Interface. Founded in 1992, the company develops and manufactures solutions for every area of mechanical and plant engineering. The products are used worldwide, including the packaging, foods and automobile industry. The strive for innovation has allowed Bihl+Wiedemann to grow continuously since its founding. The company is based in Mannheim, Germany, and is represented by its own subsidiaries and sales partners in over 30 countries.
