He introduces two new AS-i Safety gateways for this: The model BWU3683 speaks CIP Safety over EtherNet/IP, and the BWU3367 runs PROFIsafe over PROFINET. Both gateways exchange both standard I/Os as well as safe I/Os with the respective safety controller from Siemens or Rockwell. In addition, the gateways feature the Safe Link technology from Bihl+Wiedemann. Safe Link means that the safety monitors safely communicate data even without a safety controller.
