What is BACnet/IP?

BACnet (Building Automation and Control network) is a manufacturer-independent protocol that is used for building automation. BACnet enables communication between devices from different manufacturers without special interface adaptations. The high level of interoperability due to standardized, detailed rules and structures for communication exchange is the most important advantage over other communication protocols in the building automation sector. BACnet is often used when it comes to networking smart buildings.

The ASi-3 BACnet/IP gateway in stainless steel provides an interface for a BACnet/IP fieldbus. All gateways also have an Ethernet diagnostic interface for convenient diagnostics. They also include an OPC UA server, which can be used to transfer all process data and additional information to the IT world. Safety, BACnet/IP ASi Gateways with integrated Safety Monitor

The certified ASi gateways with integrated safety monitor are available in different versions with protection class IP20. All gateways feature the Safe Link technology, which makes it possible to connect different system components easily and flexibly. In addition, they all offer an OPC UA interface that transmits sensor data to the IT system.
